i didn't know lego made pieces like that!
did this come with instruction on how to build it?
or is this an original character you thought up all on your own?

Yea, lego has been slowly creating new pieces over time.
This is an original design, so no instructions or anything to help me build it, just the parts and a work.

i didn't know that. >.>

oh wow, i thought you were going to say it DID come with instructions.
really good work! i like the way you make mechs.
do you sketch them out before hand?

Thanks ;)
Funny enough I did not sketch anythign out for this mech. It went throguh a couple different phases to get to this final look.
Usually I will sketch things out to get a better idea of what I'm making or I already have a sketch that then I build. It's nice thing to do.

You're welcome. c:
did you sketch out any of the mechs in your gallery?

Nope!
The only things in my gallery that came from a sketh were teh Holo (made the sketch in my science class ^.^) and the Suzeku which was a really quick sketch that doesn't look like the one I made at all. I did though sketch out the Reppumaru when it was nearly doen just to satisfy my craving for having it done and give me a slight idea of what I could do.

I get a serious Wanzer vibe from this thing. Any chance we can get the plans for this so we can make our own?

Well, a front mission Wanzer was the last thing that was in my mind when I built this but funny enough you're not the first to be reminded of a Wanzer.
Go ahead, it was eally fun and I did exactly what I wanted.

but making it so animesque makes the cockpit small, and looking at it closely i notice yours has half the body exposed!:omfg: i like making it more relaistic in that sense :P "if its armored, let it be" ;) i could make it a bit bigger though, but then i dont know if my articulations could hold the wight :P balance, balance! :XD:

So you finally saw the guy, huh. Well that was all in the original plan to have him exposed. Even my very very first one had the fig exposed. Yea, articulation was annoying cause I wabted it to move quite a bit but I didnt want to bulky that too many parts would inter fear with each other. Thought I dont have any weight or balance issues with mine.

exactly, cause u preffered aesthetics over practicality. what i meant was that if its an armored vehicle, it cant have the pilot so exposed :P otherwise would be like matrix' APU's (that though stand for "Armored Personal Unit" they have very little armor :P ) though i see u made some of that style aswell, and i think they are quite cool, but not something id bring to a battle ;P

Who says though that I cant have a armoured unit and not have the pilot covered?
I was not inpired by an APU at all. This had nothing to do with one. But this is something meant to be brought itno battle, just not giant ones.

still, if i get hit by a rocket id rather take my chances on being killed by something that could blow on the inside because of the impact rather than by the explosion of the rocket itself :P
